In addition to brilliant image and sound quality, the new match-winner Grundig Vision 8 Sports TVs impress with their technical features. Thus, all models comprise an integrated HD triple tuner. This allows for reception, from sports programmes to the latest movies, via satellite, cable and antenna without additional receiver. With regard to peripheral devices, a high degree of flexibility is guaranteed by HDMI interfaces. Thanks to DLNA certification, in the home network all models from 26" upward are compatible with all other likewise certified devices.
USB recording turns the Grundig Vision 8 Sports TVs into USB video recorders at the push of a button. Just plug in a USB stick or external hard drive, record – and the sports lover is done and has his or her own compact soccer archive. Moreover, with the CI Plus-enabled Grundig sets TV fans can easily navigate through the Sky world and take full advantage of a Sky subscription; no purchase of set-top boxes or use of a separate remote control is required.
Apps and more from 32" upwards
With the Vision 8 Sports TVs from 32" upwards, the entertainment programme is actually available even directly from the net – thanks to Smart Inter@active TV and integrated WLAN. A wide variety of online services for convenient and direct access is already integrated into these models. Via applications (apps) such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, flickr and picasa, the new Grundig Sports TVs also support the exchange of information within social networks, no matter whether it is about the latest game results or gossip about players changing. The Grundig Vision 8 Sports TVs furthermore offer exclusive apps on up-to-date news and "Health & Lifestyle" subjects.
Information Centre: All Grundig Vision 8 Sports-TVs from 32" upwards use the interactive "Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV" videotext successor (HbbTV). Via the high-res HbbTV portals of the German TV networks, the TVs offer access to the online libraries of the public broadcasting stations ARD, ZDF and Arte as well as, depending on the network, further information about subjects on the current TV programme.
Cheerleaders – now in 3D
With the 3D function built into the 40" and 46" variants of the Vision 8 Sports TV, ball sports enthusiasts now experience their favourite games in 3D as well, for example via Sky. Here the up-scaling of 2D contents to 3D opens up entirely new perspectives. The new Picture Perfection rate with its up to 400 Hz for pin-sharp images is another advantage, particularly in sports programmes with fast-moving image contents. 3D USB recording allows to directly record 3D broadcasts on a USB stick at the push of a button. Appropriate 3D sound is provided by two additional woofers in the rear of the set.
