Superb high end LCD-TV

Grundig Vision 9 with integrated sound projector, full HD and 100 Hz

Nuremberg, 28th August 2008: All you have ever wanted. The new top model from Grundig is equipped with all the features that an LCD TV in the high end range has to have. And this means all of them; the outstanding feature of the Vision 9 family is the integrated sound projector. A speaker system consisting of 16 powerful cone speakers provides true surround sound without any additional 5.1 equipment. This LCD family is among the first such products with an integrated sound projector.

Optically, the Grundig Vision 9 with sound projector is indistinguishable from a device with normal stereo sound: a sound bar beneath the screen houses the individual speakers. But the sound projector has a bit more to offer than the usual four mid-range and treble speakers: Grundig has integrated 16 powerful special cone speakers in the sound bar, while the subwoofer with its two speakers is positioned at the back of the housing and reverberates toward the rear. The surround sound is provided by a sophisticated technology that activates the individual speakers with a small delay. This generates bundles of sound waves and directs them to different points throughout the room, where they reflect off the walls. The resulting surround sound could only be replicated by intricate 5.1 systems. The sound projector is an integral part of all appliances in the Vision 9 family and forms an optical unit with the LCD TV.

Reliably brilliant images
Excellent sound also requires an excellent picture, so the Grundig Vision 9 offers full HD resolution with 1920 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 100 hertz. Combined with the Motion Picture Improvement Technology for preventing motion blur, this produces brilliant images at the highest resolutions; these images remain crystal clear even during quick camera movements and fast sports.

Cinema fans will also enjoy a maximum of pleasure on the Grundig Vision 9. “Movie Mode” shows 24 images per second, which means that all cinema films can be replayed in original quality via Blu-ray disc, HD DVD or HD DVB set top boxes, and that movements are absolutely smooth (without a filmshutter).

Optimum connection
The Vision 9 has four HDMI connections for media players and receivers; all connections conform to the HDMI 1.3 CEC standard. This allows all connected peripheral appliances such as DVD players, satellite receivers and DVB receivers to be controlled using the TV remote control, as long as these appliances are also equipped with HDMI 1.3 CEC. The make of the media players or receivers is immaterial: the Grundig remote control can control all the media via the Vision 9.

Simply beautiful
The design of the Grundig Vision 9 also places it firmly among the excellent examples of its type. The timelessly beautiful design and the materials used form a perfect symbiosis of quality and durability. The sound bar’s soft lines make for a striking and dynamic impression, while the upper part’s straight lines exude calm. The elegantly covered cable channel prevents any loose cables from intruding in the image.

The new Vision 9 will be available in stores from September 2008 with 37", 42" and 47" screens.
